'You're
all going to die. The only question is how you check out. Do you wanna
go on your feet? Or down on your fuckin' knees... beggin'? Well I ain't
much for begging! Nobody ever gave me nothing! So I say *fuck* that
thing! Let's fight it!'
Ripley's
shuttle crash-lands on a detention planet where she and the prisoners
must battle another alien without any weapons or means of escape.
Moody
third instalment with some interesting concepts and splendid visuals
but a rather confused and sometimes very slowly moving plot. Though
it does take its time getting there, the film eventually builds to an
exciting climax that would have been a fitting end to a superior trilogy. |

Region
1 and Region 2 releases have different packaging but are otherwise identical.
The
movie is framed at 2.35:1 and is anamorphic. The image is crisp and
clear, and accurately reproduces the cinematic image. The 5.1 sound
mix is strong with the outstanding musical score and striking sound
effects spread across the surround channels.
There
is a 'behind-the-scenes featurette' that shows some insight into the
production environment, with interviews with some of the actors. It
is an informative, fairly standard promotional tool. As on the other
Alien discs, all four Alien trailers are included.
The
menus are functional and nicely designed, but nothing like those on the
first two discs in the Alien series.
